Check the media volume, not the ringer: Quiet Interval plays through the same channel as music, so it sounds even with the ring switch on silent, but it follows the volume buttons. Make sure the Cue setting is Sound or Both. If a session starts but no tone can play, the running screen shows why in orange.
Yes, for sound. Lock the phone, put it in your pocket, and the tones still arrive on time. Haptic taps on iPhone only reach you while the app is on screen, which is an iOS limit, so use Sound or Both if you plan to lock the phone.
No. The tones mix in over whatever is playing.
watchOS lets an app keep running with your wrist down for up to an hour per session, so the watch app offers sessions up to 60 minutes. The iPhone, iPad and Mac go up to two hours.
Open Quiet Interval again and it picks the session back up. Pressing the crown can end the system session that keeps the app awake.
Not yet. Stop it and start a new one.
No. Each device keeps its own settings, and the watch app works without the phone nearby.
